Danger Ranger. Ok, I wish it was dangerous, that might actually bring a little excitement to my current life. - I'm fast becoming that weird dude behind the pc, in the darkness, who never leaves home except to buy food for a cat I don't have. O_o
Until I get to the shop.. I'll be going there for one item.. and then walk out with half the stock. I like NEW THINGS a little too much you see.
So I'll come home and be one of two things:
.. because I don't like putting NEW THINGS where the environment will make them.. not new anymore.
Or..
.. because old things can and will infect NEW THINGS, so it's time they died and made space. Population control of Things. Things make my boring life a little less boring and empty - I'm materialistic and I like it.

Speaking of things I like however..
On Friday October 28th, 07h47 to be exact, I got a strange message on twitter. 'Twas a request for my mobile digits, from someone I'd never met. The first thing that went through my head was Lily Allen's 'Knock 'em out' where she goes -
"They're like,
"Alright"
What ya saying,
"Yeah can I take your digits?"
And you're like, "no not in a million years, you're nasty
please leave me alone."

And you're like, "no not in a million years, you're nasty

The request came from a certain Kimmeh (feel free to rape her follow button), although someone I had not met, someone I had become cyber friends with or so to speak. I DM'd Kimmeh my digits.
Not even 3 minutes later, I received a call from Mauritius (Kimmeh works there you see). First conversations are generally awkward, this one surprisingly wasn't though. Kimmeh knew how much I loved Kings of Leon, and how badly I wanted to go to their concert in Jhb on Saturday. She had two tickets already, which went to her son, Jesse and Rafflette - though they had no way to get there - but had found someone selling tickets and wished to purchase one for me, as a gift 'with love' she said. All I had to do was basically pick it up.
Considering the pretty crappy week I had last week, that little call made oh I dunno, MY WHOLE F*CKING WEEK.
A stranger had come out of the blue and made my day. Someone I didn't know, who didn't know me - had bought me a ticket to an event I had craved to go to - just because she can. I will never forget this, I appreciate it immensely, Kim.
I had offered to take Jesse (Who later asked 'Whats an Ermelo?') and Rafflette to the gig, the least I could do.
The woman I was collecting tickets from, Sarah, had another ticket - and seeing as my ticket was far away from Jesse and Rafflettes' tickets, I started a quest to find someone to take it. I started with closer friends and family, but they either had tickets, couldn't afford tickets, were studying or had prior arrangements. By Saturday morning, literally just hours before the event, I posted a tweet in excitement. A friend who I basically grew up with replied, albeit in jealousy. I decided, screw it, let me offer him the ticket, I haven't seen him in literally years.
I dug through my phones for a phone number, and found one. I phoned it. A woman picked up. I was caught off guard, this was a dude's number, though she sounded oddly familiar. It turned out to be his mom, 'cause those people seem to change numbers EVERY SIX MONTHS. I had phoned some poor woman at 06h45. Whoops. Thankfully she was happy to hear from me, and sent me Dugg's number & voila, I had someone to take the ticket.
*** Onward to the event.
I picked up Rafflette and Ermelo Boy mid-afternoon, we were hoping to get there early-ish to avoid traffic. Well that was fail. First, my parents GPS decided to take me in basically the completely incorrect direction, then when we did get there, so many people were there already anyway. But it was all good, we were too excited to care.
We met up with Dugg and made our way in. We must have stood for at least another 2 hours before people actually went in, but no one cared. We made so many jokes about nothing and everything.. and this weird ginger chick who tried to photobomb us. Rafflette still seems determined she wanted to tap this - I prefer to keep my soul thanks. lol.
Le Stadium
Nice little panoramic view I stole from one of the entrances (Not mine, we were closer)
The show on the other hand was.. oh you know.. little bit of this.. little bit of that and maybe um.. EFFING AMAZING. I'm not sure if it just being my first stadium concert made it seem even better, who knows. Though from everybody else who was there, I've heard the same.. Kings of Leon put on one kick-ass show.
Please excuse the inferior quality of a Blackberry 2mp camera, and the inferior quality of my Sony Ericsson Satio's battery, otherwise there'd be a lot more high quality pictures :)

The set they put on, could not have been any better. Old songs, new songs, hits and under-the-radar-legends, there was no stopping them and the crowd just ate it up. We went WILD. I have never seen energy like that from a body of people. I had apparently, phoned Rafflette's house phone, twice, by accident during the course of the event. X_X I was trying to phone Rafflette. Not her house, my phone was being retarded. Apparently I her mom fell asleep watching a movie - woke up for the first call - fell asleep during the same movie - woke up for the second call and only then went to bed. She says I sounded very excited.. of course I couldn't hear a thing, I didn't know I was phoning the house.
The best part, was the people I spent it with. Honestly for such a thrown together group, I had the most amazing time. Look at it like this - I spent it with: a current friend - Rafflette - a new friend - Jesse - and a very good, old friend - Dugg.
Even after the show, it seemed we were all still on some sort of buzz. We decided to wait for the crowd to leave before attempting to, just standing around making the jokes (Hey Rafflette and Dugg >> 'BEEFCAKE' O_O )
After we dropped Jesse off, Rafflette decided to do the usual - coffee in her kitchen - though I had only been there the day before. The General was still awake - why at 2 30am? - anybody's guess really. Regardless - despite his weird evil scowls - we did the coffee. It's a pattern after we go to an event together apparently.
It was raining - practically hurricane-ing like a storm called Shaniqua - on the way home at 3am. I hit some debris from an earlier accident on the highway.. I didn't even have time to stop before I was right on top of it. Thankfully it seems there is no damage to me car. That Shaniqua nearly ripped my weave out, with the near accident. X_X
To tell you the truth, I spent basically ALL of Sunday sleeping off Kings of Leon. So maybe I was a little Knocked Out. More like Kings of Leon'd?
Regardless, definitely my favourite weekend from this year. It trumps H20 in March. And Rafflette owes me more cookies.I mean, just look at the pictures below of us legends:
Rafflette, myself and The Dugg (Jono)
Jesse, Rafflette and Mee
Myself and Jono may or may not have made friends with Jack Daniels..
Jono's face is in reaction to that tattoo on his chest.

I should probably tell you guys.. I may be treading a fine line at work.
I took on my manager and the big boss yesterday morning. Probably not the most intelligent thing to do, but I think they've learnt that if I don't like something, they'll know about it.
We also have another new manager who, although good at what he does, is grating my tits. I'm going to kill this man before the end of the year. Just 5 and half more weeks, 5 and a half more weeks.
Regardless, I don't take shit, it's time they knew. I may be hobo soon though. Prayers if you please.

Just ignore the small rant above, it was pretty random and my fingers just decided to vomit it out.
How is your week turning out? Was anybody at KOL?
Have a great week and er, weekend,
Kris O_o

That stadium looks huge, curious though, in jhb do they also do the whole park and ride for free with big events as they do in cpt?
